Murder He Wrote

With influences spanning UKG, Hip-Hop, Dancehall and Drum & Bass, Murder He Wrote is one of the most distinctive producers in the UK’s fertile Bass scene. His original productions have seen him not just make himself right at home on RKS as one of their flagship artists but his prolific remix schedule has taken in official reworks that have released across the likes of Black Butter, Universal and Skrillex’s NEST imprint. Performances and Tours in China, Australia and Canada in recent years have only boosted his reputation outside of the UK all whilst maintaining a healthy schedule back home and in Europe, shows and festivals alike.

Regular appearances on the airwaves include Guest Mix’s and shows on Rinse FM, NTS and BBC Radio 1 where Toddla T named him as one of his Freshman 2017 alongside AJ Tracey and Nadia Rose. The end of 2018 marked the birth of his own imprint - Rhythm Athletic, with its debut release topping the Juno Download & Beatport charts and gaining support from the likes of Zed Bias, Redlight and Gilles Peterson.

His debut 1Forty release came in April 2019 with one of the Funky Anthems of the modern UK Funky era in the form of ‘Honey Riddim’ alongside Snowy on 1FFNG003. Another chart topping release for both the Label and Murder He Wrote. This was followed up later in the year, aseeing 2020 out on 1FFNG004 with his first vocal UKG cut alongside Logan entitled ‘Worthwhile’.
