Sammy Virji

Tremor Music Management and Earth Agency signee Sammy Virji has firmly imprinted his distinctive sound into the UK Bass and Garage scenes and its taking him to dizzying heights. Dr Cryptic unearthed the Oxford born producer and welcomed him onto Chip Butty Records. Since he has released with Off Me Nut Records, Southpoint, Deeprot and a number of self releases which have collectively amassed hundreds of thousands of streams. With support from Holy Goof, TQD, TS7 and many more his early-00s influenced sound combined with the groove he implements into a lot of his music has lead him to bookings at Printworks, Tank, World Headquarters, SW4 Festival and even Chris Lorenzo’s Bass Mentality Tour.

It was at Lorenzo’s Tour where LOCKT bumped into Virji as they were both playing on the same bill and 1FBSS002 was coming up. The outcome was ‘Punctuation’ which has been 1Forty’s biggest selling and most streamed track. 1FBSS002 held the #1 spot of Juno’s Bass Chart for 6 weeks. Sammys track was picked up and reviewed in Mixmag. Following the release Sammy launched the 1Forty Live platform alongside Livsey at Tavassolis in August 2018. Following this 1Forty hosted the Leeds leg of his Tour in October 2018 for the Labels debut show at Wire which sold out.
