SBK came to prominence on the now defunct Radar Radio, whilst also being brought through by
Novelist on a number of occasions. Funnily enough the scene hasn’t welcomed a shining talent so
young since the 2018 Mercury Prize nominee first broke through on to the scene with The Square in
2014.
The Stevenage native has already tore down the likes of 1Xtra, Rinse FM, Boiler Room, Kiss FM,
Reprezent, Pyro and more than held his own amongst MCs twice his age at Grime Originals. 2019
saw him light up a ton of sets across the UK’s biggest platforms, released works with the likes of
Mez amongst a number of self releases, and of course featuring on a key moment in the Grime
calendar - Lord Of The Mics 8. Clashing T Roadz and then of course all the promotion that came with
it, such as coverage on each participant by Sir Spyro on his 1Xtra show, the compilation release
alongside the likes of Grime royalty Roll Deep and Wiley, and the launch party with the likes of
Skepta co-signing the youngster.
‘Bars’ was his debut 1Forty Release in November 2019, with Fork and Knife on the buttons, gaining
major support across BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra from the likes of Toddla T, DJ Target and Sir Spyro. This
release also landed a Complex UK Premier.
