Another of London’s most reputable hosts and MC’s is UK Funky & Garage legend Shantie. Having been on the circuit over a decade the Hackney has a lot of accolades to shout about. From pioneering the UK Funky scene around 2008 across Rinse FM & Deja Vu FM to numerous recorded sets on Westwood Crib Sessions, GetDarker, Just Jam & Boiler Room theres not many platforms he’s not been on including hosting numerous sets for the one and only DJ EZ. Performances at Sidewinder past and present have also seen him cement his status along with a whole host of festival performances such as Lovebox, Global Gathering, Outlook Festival.

He also boasts an impressive discography releasing on the likes of Black Butter Records, Formula Records and Tumble Audio before adding 1Forty to that list in 2018. It was a big ask to follow up what was arguably the biggest track of 2017 ‘Runnin It Red’ with Champion but he duly delivered for the lead track on 1FFNG002 which Trench described as ‘Only for the very late nights in the darkest, sweatiest clubs, “Voices In My Head” is a peak-time combination of thundering UK funky drums and cockney UKG vocals.’.
