Its not often you come across a team of three producers under one alias, but that is exactly how the three close friends from Sheffield started crating music together in 2013. 6 years later nothing has changed as the trio embark on their 1Forty debut release. Sam, Alex & Arthur all studied at college and started to gain some traction on the club circuit a couple of years later mainly in and around Sheffield at venues such as The Night Kitchen, Yellow Arch, Hope Works, The Harley and Plug.

Following Arthur’s move to the hub of underground music - Bristol, he started on the circuit there which. lead him to the heights of playing a sold out Motion on a number of occasions amongst other venues such as Blue Mountain and the intimate Cosies. Spinning all things that 1Forty typically hones in on - UKG, Grime, Funky & Bass. They’ve performed alongside a host of names including Commodo, Loefah, Khan & Neek, Plastician, Bassboy, Swifta Beater, TC4 and Devilman just to name a few.

The trio still produce together sending stems back and forth which hasn’t hindered workflow by any means. Releases prior to ‘Do Me Right’ on 1FFNG003 (which stayed at #1 on Juno for 3 weeks) include labels such as Hot Cakes, Project Allout, Saucy Music, Second To None, Pack London and more. In that time they have gathered support from names including Flava D, DJ Q, Zinc, DJ Haus, Shift K3y, Conducta, Murlo, Sammy Virji and L U C Y amongst others.
